1. The service

Lumber Lookup is an online B2B marketplace for the forestry and lumber industry: businesses list equipment for sale, run and bid in auctions, and publish service-provider profiles. The site is operated by Lumber Lookup. Using this site means accepting these terms.

2. What the site is not

Lumber Lookup is a listing and venue service. Listings are posted by third parties; we are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, we do not own, hold, or inspect the equipment listed, and availability, condition, and pricing are the responsibility of the lister. Verify a listing and the seller before you commit to a purchase, as you would with any classified marketplace.

3. Accounts

Sellers and providers need an account to list. When you register, provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service or breach these terms.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades the service, do not impersonate another person or business, do not post unlawful or misleading content, and do not interfere with other users’ listings, auctions, or accounts.

5. User content and listings

What you post remains yours. By posting it, you grant us the licence needed to store, display, and promote it on the site. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything you post, including that you have the right to sell what you list. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s content, data presentation, and branding belong to the operator. Visitor content remains the visitor’s, subject to the licence in section 5.

7. Third-party links and services

The site links to third-party websites and uses third-party services (for example, Stripe for payments). We are not responsible for third-party sites or services, and their own terms and policies apply to your use of them.

8. Availability and changes to the service

The service may change or be interrupted, and features described as upcoming are not promised. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

9. Limitation of liability and warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, warranties are disclaimed and the operator’s liability for claims arising from use of the site is limited. We are not liable for transactions between users.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, and disputes will be handled in its courts, unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

Changes to these terms are posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change is posted is acceptance of the updated terms.
